Online Competitions are sponsored by products to create brand awarness and conducting competitions or giving out free samples, free stuff and freebies is getting more and more popular. Millions of freebies and free stuff are given away every year and with the advent of the internet it has never been as easier to find such free stuff, freebies and competitions.
Comping as they call it is profitable activity. As they say “you have to be in it to win it!”. I can understand it can be a very daunting exercise.
I am listing a few interesting tips to help you get started to save you worry and headaches.
1. Enter As Many Prize Draws,Competitions As Possible
This is a very basic rule of maths, you have to increase the chance to win competitions, free stuffs and freebies. The Golden rule for you should be to enter as many different competitions as you can, instead of the same competition many times.
2. The More Prizes The Better
Enter as many different competitions as possible, If you enter 1 competition your chances are 1 out the number of entries, if you enter 100 competitions your chances multiply by 100.
3. Enter All Types of Competitions
Enter All the competitions you can, you might not be interested in a freebie, however you can later sell it, exchange it, auction it or even politely ask for cash equivalent.
4. Read the Terms & Conditions Of Competitions Carefully
Always try to read the Terms & Conditions or at least check the rules regarding disqualification. Some competitions only allow one entry per entrant. In such cases do not re enter it. And please always use correct details you cannot expect to claim a freebie in case you win by giving a false name.
5. Setup Free Email Accounts
Setup some free email accounts and use those to enter competitions. For better or worse you will get some junk mail, so it might as well be to an email account you have set up especially for that purpose, rather than to your personal one. I have 3 email accounts myself. 1 for personal emails, 1 for competitions, and another for surveys. Any one of these will do, Gmail, Hotmail or Yahoo. However, make sure you always check these email accounts for notifications of any wins.
6. Enter Real Details
Like I mentioned towards the end of point 4. Always enter your real details in the form. How else can they verify who you are when you have won something?
7. Share The Knowledge
Share competitions with friends, family and work, you can also decide to split the winnings if any one of you wins.
